And the winner of Big Boned is…
We have the most scientific method of selecting random winners here at Chez KoE. In fact, it’s so random, it has become one of the King of Everything’s favorite games.
You see, telling the KoE to choose a number between one and ten invariably resulted in him choosing the number one — or the number ten — ad nauseum, ad infinitum, amen. So finally, I fell upon this ingenious solution: I count the number of unique responders to a contest post, and the KoE and I select the corresponding number of little plastic figurines. This time, we had what appeared to be the Knights of the Round Table and several mismatched Disney characters representing each of our contestants.
We lined the figurines up in a nice, ordered row, and i asked him to select one, and only one. Based upon its place in the line, we had our winner! And then the KoE, shrieking with laughter, asks me what name the character in my hand is sporting.
