Are single dads more datable than single moms?
Christine Coppa of Glamor’s Storked! is throwing down, ladies. “Why is it that single dads are more marketable than single moms when it comes to dating? No, I didn’t conduct a survey or do any formal research. I’m going on a Chrissyism hunch. Take Jason Mesnick, the okay, handsome, educated, career-driven, single dad, Deanna Pappas didn’t choose on ABC’s Bachelorette. ”
I think guys have it easier than gals when it comes to single, parent, and dating. The reason is sad, too. Single dads don’t spend/get to spend as much time with their kids as single moms do.
What do you think? Do single dads have it easier?

I think the idea that it’s the “woman’s job” to take care of the kids and hold the family together is still ingraned in a lot of people’s minds, so women are looked at as having failed in their role while men get sympathy and kudos for
doing what they should already be doing… taking care of their kids. It’s ridiculous, but the 50s weren’t all that long ago. Hopefully things will continue on the right track and people will start to open their minds more very soon!

It’s all about the stereotypes: a man with a child is supposedly attractive to women, because they like that he’s proven to be paternal. A woman with a child is supposedly a burden, both emotional and financial.
