BigLittleWolf muses on women walking away
Her prose is poetry, her thoughts meander with purpose and whimsy like a small brook. And if you need to be transported, please read her musings on whether women walk away… from passion, from a fight, from each other.
This post made me realize, I have spent my time post-marriage running towards the ideas of passion, and fighting for what I believe in, and being there for my women friends…
but sometimes? When I get there? It’s a mirage, an illusion, and i feel the passion, the fire, the bond slip through my fingers, leaving me bereft of a dream, again. I stand here, again on the threshold of flight, contemplating a brilliant shine in the distance, and wonder if I have it in me to make one more, possibly fruitless run, towards my future?

Beautiful Writing! I wonder though, before I became a single mom, it often felt like my future was fleeting…the feeling is much more intensified now…if the future more fleeting for us single moms? Are we more sensitive to it? Or both!
Glad I found you!
Aren’t we raised to walk away rather than fight? Rare is the girl who stands up for herself on a regular basis, and then she may be called a tomboy… or worse.
