Christmas in July? How ’bout July in Christmas?
Here you go, ladies, a little beach blanket escapism in the season of Yule.
Big Boned by Meg Cabot. Who wants a copy? I’m telling you, this is good fun. You won’t learn how to solve world hunger, but you will get a laugh or two and spend some pleasurable escape time reading this book. It’s the perfect beach book, only right now, we’re getting ready for the holidays.
Who needs a little break?
A randomly chosen reader of this blog will receive her own (or his own, I know there are some lurking readers on the non-distaff side) copy simply by leaving a comment on this post!

I just learned about Meg and within the last week received her book “Size 12 is not fat”. Figured I’d start at the beginning! She is GREAT!

How funny, just last night I picked up a copy of her book “Size 12 is Not Fat” at the library. So far I like it. I’d love to read this one as well!

It’s chilly here, too, even in northern California! Send some warmth this way Christina. xo

Hi!! I just discovered your blog and as a widowed mom of 3 young girls (3, 8, 11), I am finding SO much helpful, relevant info here. Thanks. I am a voracious reader and even if I don’t win, it has been added to my “reading list”. Happy holidays….

I love the title, and the idea of reading something LIGHT. My lawyer just faxed a 37-page dissertation from the soon-to-be-ex accusing me of “abandoning the family” and detailing how he will dismantle me, financially.
Ho ho ho– MERRY CHRISTMAS! (off to pour a glass of very cheap box wine)
