Good deeds touch a single mom’s life
When someone ripped off Zoey White Calf’s money–literally ripping the wallet from around her neck–life suddenly got harder for the 55 year old single mother of a teenager.
She had just cashed her SS check, and now there was no money for rent, bills, groceries… and no way to make that money back. She lives the way so many of us do, from check to check, without a net, no margin for error, no way to save.
Luckily, the police officer who took her report decided to help. Officer Kim Liday and her partner, Officer Ryan Porath, deserve a great big thank you for their kindess. Here’s the story with a happy ending.

What a great story! Did you see the latest issue of Sports Illustrated? Rick Reilly’s column talks about Ahman Green and Jason Simmons, two football players for the Houston Texans who, together with a bunch of other people, are donating a down payment, year’s mortgage, year’s worth of groceries, furniture, etc to a single mom and her kids. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10187736/rss
I love hearing about people being good to each other. :)
