Just a reminder, Kate at Baby Lune is donating the proceeds of her blog from Mothers Day UK to Mothers Day North America–that is, March 18 to May 13–to a charity that benefits women. She’ll let you choose which one, and if you’re paying attention to her blog, you’ll get background on the organizations she is considering. All it takes is a click from you and yours on her website, and some group will be very lucky, indeed.

And now, to bed. My train broke down. Yes. The train I was on broke. So we got off our train and onto another one, then got off that train at the nearest station and got on yet another one.

The worst part is, we broke down in a spot where there was only two tracks, and so for some reason, the entire north to south route was stacking up behind us. At least, as the train who caused the ruckus, we were also the first train in line to get out of the mess. Thank goodness for grandparents. I’d have been fit to be tied if I’d left my boy with a babysitter today. As it was, they were watching Happy Feet when I called and he couldn’t be bothered to do anything more substantial than holler, “I loveyouBYE!” Ah, the life of a single mom.
