Solo Mother

Hello, Single mothers! There’s a magazine just for us!

by christina on May 16th, 2007

Rachel Sarah over at Single Nurturing, my favorite, fearless author of “Single Mother Seeking“, turned me on to this fact: there’s a glossy magazine just for us single moms! And you can sign up for a free trial, just by clicking here.

I’m curious. I’m excited. We’re important enough to have our own niche demographic. Rar.

    Hey There,
My name is Barbara Grovner and I am the author of “Even Numbers”. I am hoping you will take a look at my book.

So many people have told me “Even Numbers” should be required reading in high schools and the response to the book overall has been great.

The story is about a young girl who was molested by her stepfather and then ultimately raised by him. In the book you will find many “Red Flags” which may alert a single mother to the dangers that a pedophile or a child molester may be in their midsts.

At booksignings I have met many courageous women who have been through this horror personally or at least know of someone who has (I believe we all know of someone who has been touched by child molestation). In my research for the book I found that in our communities we tend to sweep this subject under the carpet and consider it a “family secret”. I would like to have all mothers(especially single mothers) read “Even Numbers”.

It is the perfect way to open dialog and get people to start talking about their own experiences. I believe that talking opens the door to the healing process. The book also makes a great gift to someone who has been tormented with their secret.

I have included a discussion section in the back of the book as well as a list of useful information which can point a survivor in the right direction for assistance in dealing with the guilt and the torment that being abused can bring about.

Please take a fresh look at “Even Numbers”. I’m sure you will agree that more people need to read it. I have attempted to make my own trailer for the book. Pardon my inexperience in these things. But I’m sure you will get the point I am trying so hard to convey.

Thank you for your time and your consideration,

    Barbara Grovner
    Author of “Even Numbers”

OH…please be on the look out for “We Belong Together” which will release in December 2008.
