In case you had forgotten, single mothers can do great things
JK Rowling wrote her first Harry Potter novel in a coffee shop because she couldn’t afford to heat her flat. She’d put her baby in the pram and head for friendlier locales when the weather turned cold.
Recently, she signed a statue that had presided over her last efforts as she wrote the final installment from swank rooms in a hotel not far from her humble beginnings.
