  Chris, I started reading this 3-hours ago! It reads like a great book and one I can’t put down!

  I know we don’t talk much, but I want you to know, I have alway thought you to be special, and what you are writing on this blog, proves that I’m right!!. I love you and am very proud of you.

  I’ll say this and it might sound like crap! But with my whole heart and god as my witness I know you will come out on top and the hard times you are having now will be looked back on as good things, that helped mold you in to what you will become.

  I’ll say again, this may sound like crap but trust me, the day will come and it will all be worth it!!

  there are a lot times in my life you may not know about, but I’ve been mighty poor and have had some mighty black times. Nothing like what you have gone though (I can’t imagine!!) but tough all the same.

  Please don;t forget, I Don’t have much but what I have is yours

  I don’t know that I liked that article. I kept focusing on the fact that they were counting single mamas as better off because most are unmarried (but with partners) which to me does not seem much like a single mama deal; to me that seems like a partnered mama. Then again; it’s late and I am beat. Maybe I should go read it again tomorrow.

  Interesting article, but as Jennifer said, seems to be slated towards the partnered single moms. what about all the moms who really are on their own, with the dads that faded out over the years?? I’m still single after 7 years because the right guy has not come along yet………..moving forward. Now i have a teenager and she’s doing great, probably better, without her dad in the picture.

  I’ts not always easy, but i think that being a mom is tough with or without a husband. I think all women realize that.

  I agree with these comments. It was an interesting article, but I think the moms who live with their children’s father shouldn’t even count. You’re not a single mom just because you don’t have a legal document saying you are married.
