Merry Christmas! DIY

by christina on December 25th, 2006

I’ve just finished putting together the kid’s train table, thanks grammy and grandpa! But I’m too tired to deal with track. Rats. I put it together in his bedroom while he slept, and he didn’t so much as sigh. There’s one advantage to being single: you don’t have to argue with anyone on how to assemble the presents. Put together his bike the other day, too — thanks, mami et dadi!

And I got to eat all of Santa’s cookies and drink his (lowfat) eggnog. I didn’t have to share. They were all my favorite cookies. And since there was never any question of being able to sleep in — the ex never was one to volunteer without a major grumble — it’s not like I’m missing anything tomorrow, ecxept a few hours of sleep. If I can keep this nasty cold from turning into a nasty virus, it’s going to be a very merry Christmas for us tomorrow. Besides, it’s that kind of cold that gives me Super Sexy Voice.

I still miss the idea of the nuclear family; I wish we would all be together tomorrow. The ex said something about reading or watching movies tomorrow. At least we can look forward to a steady stream of friends and family tomorrow… I have no adequate words to describe how good it feels to be loved.

No phone calls.

Merry Christmas! I have no trouble assembling stuff but getting the toy out of the packaging? I have scars to show.

LOL Angel, Actually, I seem to be arguing with the King of Everything about EVERYTHING. no matter what I do or say, he’s got an opinion, and it’s usually a) in direct opposition to mine and b)wrong.

sigh. three year olds. Can’t live with them, can’t duct tape them to the wall.
