Mission Statement for Solomother.com
When you’re suddenly single… suddenly, everyone around you seems happily married. Solomother wants to reassure women (and men) that they are not alone; no matter how difficult things seem at this moment in time, everything will get better. There will be laughter and joy and closure. I hope to share, not only my own story, but also the stories of other single mothers out there who have made their own way, owned their lives, taken care of their children, and made some peace with the loss of marriage. I also hope to pass on some insight from the ‘other side of the fence’ and let single fathers weigh in with their experiences.
In the coming weeks, I hope to share with you some of the stories others have shared with me… a single mother of five… a father’s point of view a few years down the road after the separation and divorce… a man’s thoughts on dating a single mother… single mothers by choice, who have either had a child using artificial insemination or through adoption… and I hope there are some mothers out there who faced divorce and whose families pulled together to make it work.
Solomother is about strength, courage, positive parenting, healing and laughter. And dinner in under thirty minutes!
