My final Valentine: a book that might save a marriage
He seems disconnected, it’s like he doesn’t care about the new baby.
She doesn’t pay any attention to him anymore, not since the baby arrived.
If you found this website because you’re considering divorce… if you’re feeling lost, angry, resentful, confused, and/or terrified now that your little family includes a baby, I recommend that you read the Modern Mom’s Guide to Dad: Ten Secrets Your Husband Won’t Tell You. And if you are a single mom struggling to build a bridge to your child’s father, this book might help you understand him better.
Author Hogan Hilling has conducted over 2,000 workshops for fathers, and this book sheds some light on some of the more baffling aspects of a man’s behavior after a child is born, including why he might not be home just when you need him most of all… From the book’s Amazon page: “In each chapter, Hilling tells stories from his own life and from the lives of other dads. Each of these stories sheds light on a secret that dads don’t tell their wives. Also included are quotes from real dads about their innermost thoughts and feelings, helpful tips on parenting, and a section called “And a Mom Wants You to Know,” written by Jesse Jayne Rutherford.”
Men aren’t great at discussing their feelings; this book offers a chance for men and women struggling to survive the transition from married couple to parents to talk about their thoughts, fears, needs, and hopes. I hope you read it.

I can’t be the only one that wants this book! lol
This is what hit home: “He seems disconnected, it’s like he doesn’t care about the new baby.”
I said that SO many times about my almost-ex after I had our son. I’d love to read what else it’ll say that will help me figure out how to better understand why my almost ex-husband does what he does!

I’m definately interested in this book. I finally split up with the father of my almost-two-year-old, and sometimes I feel like I never want to speak to him again, but that’s impossible because of the baby …
any help is much appreciated.
