Sex and the single mom

by christina on March 31st, 2008

Who knew? While playing around with keyword searches this evening, I stumbled on this combination, a very popular string, so it seems.

Hrm. Sex and the single mom. Who knew we could be so sexy? Is it the barnacle we wear, constantly demanding in the cutest way possible for MORE TIME. MORE ATTENTION. MORE MOM. Perhaps it’s the lovely eau de baby spume we seem to wear every day, or the slightly exhausted air that must drive men to distraction. Could so many men find coitus todderamus interruptus so sexy as to seek us single moms out in search engine droves?

Wow. I must have ‘it’, then. Whatever ‘it’ means. I mean, some company in China just offered to pay me to rate their pheromone perfume. I’m movin’ on up!

but then… Google had to burst my bubble.

It seems there was a Lifetime Made for TV Sex and the Single Mom back in 2003, and a sequel (oh so aptly named, More Sex and the Single Mom) in 2005, that drove that ’sex and the single mom’ combination through the Google roof.

Further poking around finds “Sex and the Single Mom: The Essential Guide to Dating, Mating and Relating” by Sharon McKenna.

Looks like I’ve got some research to catch up on when the packing and the moving is done!

Actually, it was a great movie! There was even a sequal. If you ever get the chance to see it, you should.

Leslie, I think sex and the single mom is like feet when you’re pregnant. You can’t see them, you can’t touch them, but you believe with all your heart they are still there.
