Single mom confession: I haven’t read Harry Potter
I guess J. K. Rowling will forgive me for not supporting her, right? She can’t have forgotten what it was like for her as a single mother. I am so in awe of her. Some day, I would like to hear some voice so loud and clear in my own heart that I can write a whole novel of it. Seven! Imagine it. Seven huge novels full of children so beloved by so many that the Monday after the final book came out, fully half the sentient humans on the train to work were reading it.
What a sight that was.
I suppose I’d have to go back to the beginning, since I can’t recall where I left off last time I tried to read the whole series. I borrowed the books from a friend, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. This was before we moved to Dubai… so it was probably three years ago.
I feel so left out. Guess I should borrow the books and get with the in crowd. But let this be a lesson to us: there is no dream we can’t realize if we want it enough. There are no roadblocks, only challenges. Rise to it!

don’t worry Christina, i’m sure JK Rowling will understand. :-D
I was always years behind after each book came out. But i have books 1-6 right now and have yet to buy book 7. The first 4 movies I haven’t seen in movie theaters only in CDs because i often had no money to go.
anyway, things must have gotten better, because this weekend I am watching the book 5 movie with my son, and yes in a movie theater. we can’t wait!

I can’t wait for the KoE to get old enough for these books, then maybe I can read them again. I should keep an eye out for the hardbacks at yardsales and such.
