tea and sympathy
We are sick here at Casa del SoloMother. The King of Everything has had a cold for oh, ten days or so, snot and coughs. I’m not healing as quickly as I’d expected, which is making me tired and impatient. It doesn’t help that I’ve been teetering on the edge of this cold for four or five days, either.
And the King of Everything has a stye. A stye in his eye just in time for his school Program tomorrow. Ouch. Folklore would have me rubbing a gold ring on his eye several times a day, or washing his eyes with salt water. I opted for an interesting and less harmful method: tea bags. I drink my tea, fight my cold, and then slap a warm tea bag compress over the inflamed area. He loves it.
Envy my mad, single mother multi-tasking skillz.
