I don’t think I hit my head last night. So there really is no excuse for the utter lack of… intelligence rattling around in my brain, save for the fact that it’s Monday, I was up all night, and I’m poking around the Net being very surprised. And disappointed. And amused.
Not necessarily in that order…
I miss reading a few posts on Babylune and next thing I know, I’m being set up with Get Incensed blogger Mark. Do I wear lipstick or cleats? No, no. Don’t answer that. He’s a single dad with a girlfriend, a great kid, and a razor sharp wit–check out his blog and be amazed. Amused. Something like that.

While surfing the Web, I came across a sentence that had me amazed and mystified! “Several workshops on a growing new alternative to divorce and separation will be held throughout the month of January.” What? They’ve cured divorce? They’ve found a way to avoid the pain, sorrow, anger and hell of separation and divorce? I must read on…
Nope. It’s another article expounding the virtues of collaborative divorce. Sorry, single moms, there is no miracle cure. Collaborative divorce is a kinder, gentler way to end things–but if you can’t trust your soon-to-be ex any further than you can throw him, don’t employ collaborative divorce to get rid of him.

13 Reasons Why You Should Not Date This Man…
Blogxilla’s brother wrote this funky blurb against dating a single mother. It’s actually rather funny, especially since he’s a single father. But oh, you’ll never see me stepping out with this guy!
I’m particularly fond of reason #3 for not dating this guy:
3) Babies Interrupt Sex - I’ve had this happen to me. I was banging a woman and her kid interrupted my sex. Needless to say I was pissed. If some kid is going to interrupt the meanest head you’ve ever gotten, that kid should have your last name.
Why did I single out this one? Check it out. “MY SEX”. Not ‘our sex’. MY SEX. No, no thanks. Not my kind of guy.

That’s definitely how I felt last night at oh, around 3:17AM when I realized that sleep just wasn’t going to happen for me. At least I had a good book to read.
If you are looking for something interesting to read that isn’t another self-help, DIY Divorce, or Gossip Girl tome, consider picking up a copy of White Noise. As a photographer friend once remarked, it’s a touching story about a blended family trying to make it all work. Certainly on one level. Since this is Delillo, there are about five or six different stories being told using the same words, and each is worth puzzling over.

LMAO!! hey, he was being a jerk. But He’s really a cool guy. But I would say that. I mean just think you’re at a dudes house and his face is in your stuff and the baby starts crying right when you’re about to reach the promise land!!
Trust me it’s not a good feeling. I’ve had it happen only thing I was in some of the best loving I ever had, but you know what I did… I handed her her toy and said i’ll check on the baby. warmed the bottle up, washed my hands and put the bottle in the babies mouth and went back to fucking… the bottle fell out but she told me not to get up, that the baby would stop and she did! good stuff though.

BlogXilla, I thought it was funny… in a jerk kinda way. Luckily I’ve not had to deal with any of that coitus interruptus toddlerus (or unfortunately, considering that much of my time with a toddler in the house was spent with a husband… and not much in the love department)… but woah, you have all the moves!
